Unlike on earth, no behavioral differences are found amongst people in the various localities. As a normal practice the vast majority of people do not reside at a fixed location. In this fascinating new research, the astronomers announced that they have discovered that a duo of Pluto's moons, dubbed Nix and Hydra, are actually in a chaotic rotation. This basically means that an observer standing on the alien surface of icy, strange Pluto, would not observe the same face of its moons from one night to the next. For those observers visiting the two bizarre moons themselves, things would be even weirder because every day would be a different length from the one that came before it.



The team also considered whether it would be possible to determine, with an adequate degree of certainty, if a detected moon could bear life-loving liquid water. In their analysis, the "input" climate for the moon is habitable, which is identified with high probability. However, there still remains approximately a one in six failure rate.



For a very long time, planetary scientists favored the scenario that the duo of potato-shaped Martian moons were probably snared asteroids. However, the pair's circular orbits at the equator indicated otherwise. The orbits of the little moons suggested that they had really formed from a giant impact billions of years ago. The new research, published in the July 4, 2016 issue of Nature Geoscience, proposes that a massive 2,000 kilometer protoplanet crashed into the primordial Mars. The horrendous impact resurfaced most of the Martian surface and hurled a mass of debris, more than 100 times the mass of both Phobos and Deimos, into orbit around the Red Planet.
