Interesting facts about space.

As a startup event in the agenda of the ceremony, all adult participants consume a cocktail made of mushrooms. The recipe of this cocktail has been coming down from the ancient days and is the same in all the cities. The moon people love it! The hallucinatory agents in the cocktail probably transport the minds of the people into a different realm and help them socialize, perform dances and enhance their inner bonding. Speculating on this further, the cocktail drink may be the core impetus driving their propensity for intercity traveling. The 'travelers' are assured of the reward of a dream making cocktail once every fourteen days at all the cities. Some people may be unconsciously addicted to this! No one took this special drink or any form of alcohol on the other days.

and here is another

Last night there was a full moon. One of my dogs was very on edge, starting at every sound, staring out into the darkness at something I could neither hear nor see. The other 4 dogs were sound asleep. Did she sense something different about the moonlit night?

and finally

"We found that the seabed of Ligea Mare is likely covered by a sludge layer of organic-rich compounds," she noted.

More information:

The relatively light regions of the Moon are known as the highlands. The dark features, the lunar maria, are impact basins that were later filled with lava between 4.2 and 1.2 million years ago. These light and dark regions were created by rocks of different ages and compositions. This provides evidence for how the ancient crust may have crystallized from a global lunar ocean of magma. The impact craters have been preserved for billions of years, and they provide observers with an impact history for our Moon and other bodies that inhabit the inner Solar System.

"The key question is whether those Apollo samples represent the bulk conditions of the lunar interior or instead represent unusual or perhaps anomalous water-rich regions within an otherwise 'dry' mantle. By looking at the orbital data, we can examine the large pyroclastic deposits on the Moon that were never sampled by the Apollo or Luna missions. The fact that nearly all of them exhibit signatures of water suggests that the Apollo samples are not anomalous, so it may be that the bulk interior of the Moon is wet," explained Dr. Ralph Milliken in a July 24, 2017 Brown University Press Release. Dr. Milliken is the lead author of the new research and an associate professor in Brown University's Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences. Brown University is in Providence, Rhode Island.

"We think that the giant planets got their satellites kind of like the Sun got its planets, growing like miniature solar systems and ending with a stage of final collisions," lead author Dr. Erik Asphaug, of the University of California at Santa Cruz, said in a statement to the press on October 18, 2012.
