Interesting facts about space.

After the moon scientists developed electrical magnets and electromagnetic waves they did not know what to do with their new discovery. But as things happened in the earth's history, sometimes accidents lead to discoveries. As an accidental discovery, the scientists in the moon found that when electromagnetic instruments were energized, they caused a physical disturbance of nearby dust particles. The leading scientist who had invented the system directed the waves towards the moon's surface with the idea of checking the effect on the moon dust lying on the transparent area of the moon's crust. The moon dust covering thin transparent surfaces was seen to be getting cleared. Though it did not yield perfect transparency of the moon's crust, this was a big success. By experimenting further on this they realized that electromagnetic waves could help them to clear the dust on top of the transparent sections of the moon's surface. Upon the discovery of a mechanism for removing the dust on the moon's surface, the elders of the city gave their blessings to proceed further with these experiments. In the city of Daaadi the ceremony that was conducted every 14 days, acquired an additional feature now. This was the demonstration of their new equipment that cleared the dust on the surface crust of the moon. The scientist who invented it demonstrated the capability of his invention to the amazement and delight of all the people. They could now see more of outer space. Some people repeatedly viewed this demonstration while others did not show much interest.

and here is another

Of the four terrestrial, rocky planets of the inner Solar System (Mercury, Venus, our Earth, and Mars), both Mercury and Venus are moonless. Earth possesses one lone Moon, but it is a very large one--the fifth largest moon in our entire Solar System, in fact. Mars, on the other hand, has two tiny misshapen moons that resemble rocky potatoes, and are lumpy and dark, as they travel in their nearly circular orbits close to the plane of the Martian equator. The Martian moons, Phobos and Deimos, are probably asteroids that were captured by Mars long ago.

and finally

Europa is the sixth largest moon in our Solar System, and few bodies have enticed astronomers as much as this little moon of Jupiter, because it is thought to sport a subsurface global ocean of liquid water--and where there is water, there is the possibility of life. The more astronomers learn about this fascinating and mysterious icy moon, the more they become enchanted with it.

More information:

Even though Theia came to a tragic end, it did not die in vain. This is because the ill-fated Theia made the emergence of life possible on Earth. Our lunar companion is responsible for creating a welcoming abode for living things on our planet, because it moderates Earth's wobble on its axis--thus creating a stable, life-friendly climate. Earth's Moon also is the source of ocean tides that form a rhythm that has guided human beings for thousands of years.

Our Moon is Earth's only permanent natural satellite. It is also the largest moon in our Solar System relative to the size of its host planet. Second only to Jupiter's volcanic Galilean moon, Io, our Moon is the densiest natural satellite among those whose densities have been determined.

A moon is a natural body that orbits a planet, and is held in its orbit by the force of both the host planet's gravity and the gravity of the moon itself. Some planets sport moons; some do not. Most of the moons dwelling in our Solar System are frigid (and sometimes weird) little worlds, made up of ice and rock, that swarm around the outer giant, gaseous planets of our Sun's bewitching family--Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. One example of such bewitching weirdness is the frozen, little icy moon Hyperion, of the ringed-planet Saturn, that looks like an icy natural sponge.
